Guidance Content is the mobile client for guidancecontent.com, a platform that makes Islamic knowledge available to readers in their own language. The app opens on a home feed of featured verses, hadith and benefits, and leads into a library of books, articles, audio and video that can be browsed by category or searched across all content types at once.
Each verse and hadith has its Arabic text, an explanation and a choice of translations. Readers can save any item, download media for offline use, and share content as a link, a QR code or a rendered image card.
The interface is localized into 100 languages, including right-to-left scripts and many that are rarely supported, such as N'Ko, Fula, Soninke and Mandinka. I built a Python pipeline that translates the UI strings with an LLM and then applies human-approved wording from a review spreadsheet over the machine output.
Highlights

- Offline: bookmarks and downloads are stored in a local SQLite database, with paginated saved and downloads screens.
- Sharing: links, QR codes and image cards generated from verses, benefits and the Names of Allah.
- Loading and caching: HTTP response caching, cached images and skeleton loading states.
